Ati radeon xpress 200 memory install#
Prior to doing this even tho I had used the same install procedure through each updated version of the drivers it was only coming up as using the mesa drivers in fglrxinfo I just tried after installing the latest ati-drivers (8.14.13-r1) I have an ATI Radeon X600 PCIE card on an athlon64. I would post my glxgears scores here, but I don't want to scare you off since I'm not even running ati (used to have ati, but sooo happy I switched to nvidia!) Just add ~amd64 to the use flags inside the ebuild, and you should be ready to emerge.Īlso don't forget to digest the newly created ebuild after editing! (ebuild ati-drivers-8.13.3-extra.ebuild digest ) You could of course copy the media-video/ati-drivers-extra dir to your portage overlay, and manually edit the ati-drivers-extra ebuild so that you can actually emerge them. Rerunning the glxgears gives slower performance:ĭo you think there is a more scientific way to test it then glxgear?

I went into nf and uncommented the load DRI under modules. So, when I ran that, there was a mention of no XFree86-DRI on display :0.0.
